Ladies Who Latte Privacy Policy
1. Who we are.
Ladies Who Latte is a networking initiative for all women in business. It launched in 2006/7 with Sharon Connolly, International Image Consultant, shortly after joined by Mary Flavelle, who specializes in women’s networking events. In 2011 Billie Sharp jumped on board designing and building the website and brand, to provide technical support to Sharon and Mary. Ladies Who Latte is FREE flexible networking with a less formal approach for all women in business.
2. How we intend to use your data.
Ladies Who Latte Leaders
If you become one of our Latte Leaders then we will process your data (the details you provide us in your ‘Start a Group’ form) in the following manner:

We will hold that data in a master spreadsheet so we can track who is running the group.

We will put your contact details onto the calendar so potential Ladies Who Latte can contact you to ask about meetings.

We will potentially use your address to deliver marketing materials to i.e. flyers or banners.

We will use your email address to contact you about opportunities and information that you can share with your groups and/or changes within the organisation.

We WILL NOT pass on your information to ANY third party unless explicitly called on to do so by legal bodies of authority.

We will use your email address to add you to the LWL Leaders Facebook Group.

We will use your email address to add you to your relevant Facebook Group.

We will hold your data for as long as you are hosting a Ladies Who Latte Meeting.

On your request we will delete your data from our records but you will no longer be able to continue as Leader of the group. All the time you are still functioning as a Ladies Who Latte Leader of one of our groups we need to be able to contact you and so do people who wish to attend the group.

If you sign up to our mailing list through our website then we will process your data (the details you provide us in your ‘Sign up to our Mailing List’ form) in the following manner:

We will hold that data in list management software that enables us to mail you with news and opportunities, and that also enables you to unsubscribe with one click.

We will use your email address to contact you about opportunities and information that may be relevant or of interest to you.

We WILL NOT pass on your information to ANY third party unless explicitly called on to do so by legal bodies of authority.

We will hold your data until you ask us to erase it or update it.

On your request we will delete your data from our records entirely.

On your request we will add you to our ‘unsubscribe’ list to communications from us in the future. In this instance should you wish to be added back on our list we would need explicit consent from yourself to do so.

On your request we will update your data. It is our responsibility to update our data as and when it is necessary but, don’t forget, we need you to tell us when and if it changes.

4. Your right to complain
You have the right to complain to the ICO if you feel there is a problem with the way your data is being handled. You can complain to the ICO via this link.
5. Data Portability
Subject access requests - You have the right to request to see the data we hold on you at any time. On request we are obligated to provide you with your data digitally in a commonly used format within one month of your request. There would be no financial charge for this request unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive requests are made. In this event a fee may be charged or the request may be refused.
What is the GDPR?
The General Data Protection Regulation is an update to the Data Protection Act 1998. From 25th May 2018 the new regulation will be law in all EU member states, including the United Kingdom – still being a member at that time.
The new regulation brings data protection law up to date in this now digital world where data processing is no longer predominently paper based. If we collect, hold or process details about individuals for whatever reason, we need to understand how this regulation affects our business and what we will need to do. With updates to the accountability, it will no longer be assumed that we comply with regulation. From the 25th May 2018 we will all have to be able to demonstrate HOW we comply.
This directly affects us as an organisation and will potentially affect you too. In light of this, we thought it might be helpful to organise some tailored 'training' and make it available to our Ladies Who Latte... So we are delighted to be partnering with The Real Business Club to offer you a hands-on, practical workshop to ensure your business will be ready for the May deadline for the updated General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
